Sociology & Anthropology Scholarships
There are several scholarships available to undergraduates majoring in the Sociology and Anthropology programs.
*NOTE* Scholarships for the Anthropology and Sociology programs are awarded every Spring Semester. Applications open up in February of the academic year. Be sure to look out for flyers posted in Mouton Hall, as well as an announcement from our department with more information during the month of February. We are honored to help support our students' academic and personal success by awarding these scholarships and are grateful for our generous donors who make these efforts possible.

Applicants must be a U. S. citizen majoring in sociology, not necessarily a Louisiana resident or graduate of a Louisiana High School and be eligible to enter his/her junior and/or senior year. Student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. Preference to be given to an older and/or returning student who has overcome some adversity in life. Should the eligibility requirements result in the scholarship becoming unduly difficult to award, the donor will be consulted to see if he would allow the selection committee to award the scholarship to the student who most closely matches the criteria in the original guidelines. Scholarship pays $1,500 per year ($750 for the Fall semester and $750 for the Spring semester).
